Installing and Opening Nimrobo

What to do the first time you open the app, and if macOS says it's damaged.

Opening it the first time

Nimrobo ships as a signed, notarized DMG — mount it and drag Nimrobo into Applications. Because it's notarized, you won't hit the "unidentified developer" block; macOS may still show a "downloaded from the internet, are you sure?" confirmation, or on newer macOS, "Apple could not verify this app is free of malware." Right-click the app and choose Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

If macOS says the app is damaged

This is almost always a corrupted or interrupted download — redownload the DMG rather than trying to repair it. If you opened Nimrobo directly from the mounted DMG instead of dragging it to Applications first, that can also trigger a false "damaged" message — drag it to Applications and try again.
