What Is an Outcome Loop

One folder, one metric, one loop that keeps score across every run.

A git-tracked folder

An outcome loop lives as a folder in git: goal.md for the north star and guardrails, run.md for the lever map, gate.md for what a run must clear, and a runs/ folder holding every run's history.

Dashboard and chat

Every loop has two modes: a dashboard for reviewing progress, and a chat for taking one action. They're never shown at the same time — you're either looking at the loop or acting inside it.

A run is a chat

Taking an action opens a chat. The agent works inside it, and when it finishes, that chat is saved as one run in the loop's history.
